Volunteering

Volunteer at Paddington Farm!

A chance to get outside, get active, meet like-minded people and, of course, make a difference to our work.

We have a regular volunteer session every Wednesday from 9.30-1.00pm. We welcome adults of all ages and abilities to help with a range of seasonal tasks in our organic vegetable garden or out on the wider farm. Tasks may include planting, pruning, weeding, harvesting, hay making, hedge laying… whatever work is needed, according to the season. And after a morning’s work we all come together for a tasty home-cooked lunch, made with our own organic produce.

At these sessions we also welcome adults with additional needs, providing a safe, supportive environment that enables everyone to be part of the team and participate to the best of their ability.

If you’d like to find out about volunteering at Paddington Farm, or if you care for someone with additional needs and feel they would benefit from volunteering with us, please get in touch.

Volunteers also help out at events at the farm, such as craft workshops, apple harvest and juicing, and at our annual Family Festival (in partnership with local charity Children’s World).

We also host a number of a residential volunteers, who join us for the summer season. Some bring specific skills and experience, such as organic growing, carpentry or building maintenance, whereas others simply bring enthusiasm and a willingness to help. If this sounds like you, please contact us for more information (volunteers need to be able to provide their own accommodation, usually a tent or live-in vehicle).
