We host a programme of free and affordable community events and activities across the year, helping people get out onto the land, connect with nature, build community and learn new skills.
Our programme varies according to the seasons (and the availability of funding), but often includes activities such as cooking and growing sessions, fermenting workshops, foraging walks, felt making, and bushcraft skills, all led by experienced local practitioners.
And of course every Wednesday it’s our community Volunteer Day, giving people of all ages and abilities the chance to get involved in seasonal farm work, whilst giving the farm team some much needed help in managing the land.
In the summer holidays we team up with Children’s World charity to host Off the Streets, an affordable programme of outdoor activities for local children, including music, drama, animal experiences and Forest Schools.
And every August we work with Children’s World to put on the fun and fabulous Family Festival – an extravaganza of family-friendly circus, theatre, music and performance, delivered by professional artists and performers and set against the beautiful backdrop of the Mendip Hills.

Paddington farm also hosts Glastonbury Forest School every Friday during term time, plus a monthly Woodland Wellbeings group.
In the warmer weather you can find campfire sing-alongs in our woodland with Glastonbury Folk Club, weekend gatherings with Mamma Village and an annual Roots and Wings family get-together, as well as retreats, workshops and training events, led by external facilitators.
